I know that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, that same God who is also our Heavenly Father, the father of our spirits. I know that Jesus came to earth, received His body, was obedient to His Father's laws, suffered for our sins that we might not cause ourselves to suffer (if we believe His words and follow Him), gave His life and rose again so that all mankind will be resurrected.
I know that He has restored the purity of His Gospel to the earth in these latter days through His servant and prophet, Joseph Smith Jr., that since that time we have had authorized prophets speaking the Word of the Lord to the world, that the priesthood which the apostles in the meridian of time held in the name of Jesus Christ has been restored as well, and that I have received of that same priesthood, and have been able to bless my families and others by means of that priesthood.
I know that Bible is the Word of God as it was received and written down by the Lord's prophets and apostles in times past. I know that many plain and precious things that would have been included in the Bible have been lost to us, but that what we have left, which is much, has been graciously preserved, both by God and by the service of devoted men, for our instruction.
I know that the Book of Mormon is also the Word of God as it was written down by the Lord's prophets on the American continent, and preserved for us until these latter-days when it was translated by the will and power of God.
I know that there have been many books of scripture, in every land where God has spoken to men, which are not available to us today, and that when we are ready for it, we will receive additional scriptures for our benefit.
I know that God speaks today to the world through His prophets, and that he speaks to individuals through the Holy Ghost, and that through the Holy Ghost we can know the truth of all things.
I know that Jesus Christ is coming back to judge the world and to reign in righteousness upon a cleansed earth with his saints.
I say this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
