It is good to give thanks to JEHOVAH,
And to sing praises to Thy name, Most High:
To make known in the morning Thy mercy,
And Thy faithfulness every night,
On the instrument of ten strings,
And on the harp;
With sounding music on the lyre.
For Thou hast made me glad, JEHOVAH with Thy work:
In the works of Thy hands I will shout in triumph.
How great are Thy works, JEHOVAH!
Thy thoughts are very deep.
A brutish man does not know;
Neither does a fool understand this.
While the wicked flourish as grass,
And all the doers of evil blossom;
Only for them to be destroyed for ever:
But thou art art exalted forever, JEHOVAH.
For, Lo, Thine enemies, JEHOVAH,
For, Lo, Thine enemies shall perish;
All the workers of evil shall be scattered.
But Thou shalt lift up my horn like a unicorn:
I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
And my eye shall look on mine enemies who rise up against me.
My ears shall hear the wicked.
The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree:
He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Those who are planted in the house of JEHOVAH
In the courts of our God, shall they flourish.
They shall still bring forth fruit in old age;
Fat and fresh they shall be;
To shew that JEHOVAH is upright:
He is my Rock, and no unrighteousness is in Him.
