My Title of Liberty

I LOVE THE FLAG

I stand whene'er the flag goes by,
Lay hold to heart and feel
Of all the best the human soul may
Valiantly reveal:
Enough of patriotic love
To last a long, long time;
Hope lives again, and justice reigns;
Encouraging this rhyme.
For every star that flutters there,
Locked in its field of blue,
And every stripe of red or white,
God gives a grander view.
