   Fathers Day 2006

O, Captain Kirk, and Spock and Bones, and all their famous crew,
Have come to mean a lot to us, like people that we knew.
On their adventures out in space we also went along.
And though it's only in our heads, with our own they belong.
We've faced the unknown in the void, and time traveled to the past,
Explored the possibilities, came safely home at last.

Birthday Thoughts

Today, it was my birthday.
Another year has passed.
I wonder what I've managed.
What deeds of mine will last.
Has any thing I've done here
Touched anyone for good?
And have I here accomplished
The things I know I should?
May God bless me that this will
Be true this coming year.
And may I e'er be worthy
His Spirit's voice to hear.

Fathers Day 2006

Fathers Day has come again.
It's good to have a time
For honoring fathers everywhere -
I'm especially glad for mine.
Thank you Dad for being strong
When times were not so good.
And thank you too for teaching me
To do the things I should.
I'm awfully glad that you and Mom
Are still with me today.
So I can say I love you both
On one more Fathers Day.
