My Poems from December 2002
About Your Loss
I heard today about your loss.
I don't know what to say.
I know I don't know how you feel;
We each feel our own way.
I know that many times I've felt
A loss I couldn't bear,
Until the Savior lent His hand
To ease my load of care.
I know that every time it came
I felt a feeling rare.
For each time that it came to me
A different me was there.
For every struggle I pass through
Along this rocky way
Makes me a different person then,
A stronger man today,
And softens up my inner child,
And keeps me humble too.
I trust that as He does for me
He also does for you.
I wish that I could be a part,
A shoulder, or an ear,
A hand to help a hurting heart,
Or just a smile to cheer.
