My Poems from December 2001
CHRISTMAS CHRISTINA
Christmas is a wondrous time !
Carols sung in glorious rhyme !
Hymns of praise to God above --
He's given us this time of love.
Rising in the eastern sky,
Resplendent Star once showed the way
In days long past to wise men bold
In searching out a Child foretold.
So now, each year, we too impart
Such gifts as truly from our heart
Tell those we love how much we do.
Though times are hard God sees us through.
My wish for you is your good health,
In friends and family find your wealth,
All good be yours, your whole life through
New joy please find in all you do.
So have a Merry Christmas, dear
And a very happy brand New Year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ERNEST SAWYER
My wish to you this Christmas Day
That you may feel my love this way:
Evoked from words upon this sheet,
Or drawn rom reminiscence sweet.
Recall the scents of Christmas past
Ever will those memories last.
Remembering only good times now,
Rejecting hurt and pain somehow,
You will immerse yourself in love.
No longer will your thoughts be of
Cares of the world, or common needs
Entrapping you like backyard weeds.
Hear now the message that I send,
So may your broken heartstrings mend:
Rejoice! For you are loved this day,
Thy Father, God, would have me say.
I too, do love you, as your dad.
So, as you see, things aren't so bad.
Serenity is at your door
And peace and joy and so much more.
Today's a day for feeling love.
Woes all behind, gifts from above,
My thoughts as well, are here for you.
You may be sure that Love is true.
And on this day of days you can
Enjoy the promised peace to man.
So have a merry Christmas Day.
Rejoice! A New Year comes this way.
